When I first started English lessons with teacher Angela in 2024, at sec 3, my grades for English were fluctuating, but never scoring anything above a B4. However, when my EOYs were abound in the month of September, my results shot up miraculously, having scored an A2 instead of those measly numbers I normally obtain for my English results. This result due to the tuition made me feel like English was a subject that was possible to score at, even if I didn't realise it initially. Teacher Angela makes lessons engaging by giving us vocabulary tests for our word bank, explaining in depth what examiners are looking for in certain types of questions in Paper 1, how to accurately answer a range of common or rare questions types in Paper 2, and so many more priceless skills I didn't realise that English lessons could have taught me if I understood why they were important. Not only do I learn these technical skills to use during examinations, but I also reflected that English lessons are a way to hone my ability to analyse the use of language itself to wonder what gives every sentence its meaning, and to ponder deeply about the message and purpose of texts— all these skills ultimately linking to other subjects like Social Studies, Literature, History, just to name a few. Vicariously, even Mathematics and Science benefit from the study of English, as we use it to comprehend each question in order to understand what they want from us. Notably, English is a core subject that serves as a foundation for learning every other subject. But that aside, English taught me that so much more matters which aren't the numbers I see on my test scores. Not only has the teacher coached me all these 2 years from 2024-2025, but she has also given the subject a purpose; to help me sharpen my language skills to use even outside of academic purposes, and to be proficient at wording my thoughts, which then helps me to be an amazing communicator among my peers. These two years spent at Impact Circle Tuition has been the most fruitful time spent at a tuition centre for English lessons, helping me unlock my potential to reach for the skies for scoring in Emglish and to use it to prove I'm worth my salt aside from the rest of my subjects. Thank you Teacher Angela for being such a dedicated teacher that brings a spirit of joy and unending support to the classroom. My understanding of the English language as a subject makes me a more motivated student and really, just a better person in general. Impact circle has had a significant impact on my education journey, particularly maths. Through various ways, Mr Chua has honed my ability to apply, think critically and adapt. Thereby, I enjoy attending these classes as Mr Chua always finds methods to make maths engaging and meaningful, reflecting what we learn to be useful in the future.
when i first joined impact circle my math grades were pretty bad but when i joined, i got A’s for my math. this tuition centre is great for students to improve in their weak subjects. the teachers are really friendly and understanding when it comes to teaching and ensuring the students learning capabilities.
From D7 for end of year exams to A1 for this term's WA. In a short few months, my daughter (in Secondary school) has made tremendous progress thanks to Teacher Lennie's guidance and patience. It has been a good partnership between my daughter (she asks for extra work from him!) and most importantly, he customises his sessions based on her school topics and adjusts accordingly dependent on her grasp with the specific topics. He has been encouraging and motivating - providing my daughter with the much needed confidence she needs. This makes all the difference when you instill the right and positive mindset in a student.
Cheyanne had the opportunity to be tutored by Mr Lennie when she was in P6 preparing for her PSLE. That was in 2022. Cheyanne results, before being tutored by Mr Lennie, were just about average. Since the tutoring began from P6 till today, Cheyanne had tremendous improvements in her studies. From an average level, she had leapfrogged to being an A1 student. I had witnessed the change in Cheyanne attitude towards learning as well. As her interests in learning grew, her results improved too. And I attribute this to Mr Lennie. You not only imparted knowledge to her, you made her enjoy her class and increase her thirst for learning. I like to truly express my heartfelt appreciation and utmost gratitude towards Mr Lennie and his team of tutors for this amazing improvement in Cheyanne. Lennie made a great IMPACT. He caused a change not only to the grades (from F last year to an A1 streak this year for IP Math) but most importantly, my daughter’s attitude towards mathematics. The confidence gained from Lennie’s guidance didn’t just stop at Math. It had a ripple effect on her attitude towards overcoming obstacles for other subjects. I have been a student of Mrs Angela since sec 1. She has been a wonderful teacher. Not only making my lessons fun, but also being understanding and checking up on me when outside of tuition lessons.
